Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of the UN warned on Sunday that the situation in Gaza ruled by Hamas is declining rapidly as he repeatedly issued appeals desperately for a ceasefire to end the genocide.
On his visit to the capital of Nepal, Katmandu he said, ‘By the hour Gaza’s situation is growing desperately. Instead of a humanitarian pause that was supported by the international community, I regret that the operations by Israel have been intensified more.
He said that the amount of civilians injured and killed is very unacceptable. After the gunmen from Hamas entered Israel on 7th October, Israel killed more than 3000 civilians including kids and women, and has held many of them as hostages.
There has been chaos and panic in Gaza where more than one million people have been displaced and the city has fallen into darkness as the internet, electricity, water and all the life-supporting connections have been cut.
