Starlink internet service connection to Gaza

On Sunday, 29th October, Elon Musk said that he felt the pressure of providing Starlink internet service connection to Gaza as due to the airstrikes by Israel almost all the communication in the area was knocked out. He posted a head-exploding emoji, a user asked if he was feeling the pressure of what is the right thing to do in the case Musk replied ‘Yeah’ to it.

The owner of Starlink Internet Service said that he will provide communication links with internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza. There was no clarification on when and how the terminals will be set up in Gaza. His organization SpaceX did not reply with a comment to Forbes on Sunday.

Getting online in Gaza can be tough due to local rules and world politics. Think about any blocks or issues that might stop Starlink or other services from working there. Even if Starlink’s satellites cover Gaza, using the service depends on things like local equipment, cost, and ease of access.

Later Musk took over his account on X to reject any claims of offering internet services via Starlink to Gaza. He clearly stated that if he would go further with any such provision. It will only be in terms with Israeli and the US governments only for humanitarian purposes. No Starlink terminal connects from Gaza. Additionally, they will do a security check with the US and Israeli governments before turning a single terminal.
