The amount includes 658 million dollars which has been given as a loan by the Asian Development Bank to Pakistan.
As mentioned in the Asian Development Bank statement, three different sector projects will be financed with the loan, in addition, the aid will be used on projects to improve tax compliance, rehabilitate schools affected by floods, and boost food output. The statement further states that through the $300 million program, more taxes shall be collected, the tax measures, and government expenditure shall be reduced and several measures shall be taken on ways of enhancing investment.
The declaration stated that $275 million for school rebuilding in Sindh along with $ 1600 million will be given for reconstruction and restoration of 1600 schools and restored for Sindh’s school rehabilitation program and $ 800,000 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s food security. It will also provide 8 million dollars for the project while granting 3 million dollars to women farmers for the cleaning of cabbages and the safe usage of aggressive agricultural chemicals.
The statement added this aid is within the 1. Flood Barter program worth 5 billion dollars of the Asian Development Bank for recovery of Sindh.
