Murree has much natural beauty that many people may not see even in big places being the Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Adam M. Tugio said that Murree is one of the best place globally for touristic attraction. The Ambassador of Indonesia said that Bali is a very famous tourism center in Indonesia and both Murree can be known as sisterly cities and the governments of these two world ought to sit down and talk which will be beneficial for the tourism of both worlds. He said this while delivering his speech during the closing ceremony of the crimes Journalism Symposium to the Journalists and local business communities at Murree A hotel on Sunday, 12th November.
There is sympathy that has been shown culturally, religiously, and historically between Indonesia and Pakistan and this calls for such area to be passed on to the younger generation. He further said that the relations between Indonesia and Pakistan remain time-tested friendship from early years of friendship which cannot be denied in the diplomatic, cultural, trade and mutual economic ties level.
On the other side, Indonesian ambassador stressed on the fact that there is always a good relation between the two founder of the Indonesia and Pakistan that is Ahmad Sukarno and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad ali Jinnah and also focusing the two cap which is known as Jinnah cap and Sukarno cap respectively. He also mentioned how Allama Iqbal poetry contributed to numerous Indonesian movements and regretted that the poetry work of Iqbal was quite popular in Indonesia. Thus the ambassador also brought into light a lot of resemblances between the two nations as far as the food, culture and even habits are concerned. Dr Sudhir Abbasi, President of AMU, asked about the possibility of having exchange of visit by the journalists of Murree with Indonesia to have better appreciation of Indonesian goals and achievements. And he urged Murree journalists’ children to apply for Indonesian scholarships, promising full Indonesian Ambassador support in Islamabad.
